Impact Africa Business · Deal pipeline

One deal,
one record.

Submit an opportunity once. Every document, check, information request, release and introduction stays attached to the same reference, and you can see exactly where it stands at any moment.

The process, in full

Seven stages. Nothing happens off the record.

Choose a stage to see what each person is doing at that moment, including where someone is deliberately shown nothing.

An opportunity is written up once, in nine sections, with the evidence attached and the declarations signed.

  • Deal owner

    External
    • Work the nine sections as a draft, over as many sittings as you need
    • Upload the evidence behind your claims
    • Sign the five declarations and send it
    • Get your reference number straight away
  • Deal manager

    Impact Africa
    • A new deal lands unassigned

Nothing is asked of the reviewer, the senior approver or the investor at this stage.

What verification means

We tell you what we checked, not that it is a good investment.

A verified opportunity on this platform means eight areas of evidence were worked through, each recorded with a result and a note, and signed off by someone who did not record them. The record shows who checked what, and when.

It is never a guarantee of the investment, the valuation or the returns. Where something could not be confirmed, that is recorded too, and investors see it.

Diligence remains the investor’s own. What we remove is the first three weeks of it.

A page of the register

This is the whole of it. Eight areas, a result, a note, a name.

One real record, lightly fictionalised. Note the fifth line: an area that could not be confirmed stays on the page, and the investor reads it alongside everything else.

If you have an opportunity

Chambers, agencies and sponsors

Write it up once, in nine sections, across as many sittings as you need. Nothing is sent until you say so, and nothing is lost if you close the tab. After that you can see which stage it is at, in plain words, without having to ask.

  • One form, saved as you go, usable on a phone
  • Anything we need comes back as a numbered list, not a phone call
  • A reference number you can quote in any email
  • You see the outcome and the reason, whatever it is

If you deploy capital

Funds, DFIs, family offices and corporates

State your mandate once: sectors, geography, ticket size, instrument, and what you will not touch. You see the few opportunities that fit it, with the evidence already worked through and the gaps named.

  • Only opportunities released to you, never a public list
  • The profile you were shared does not change under you
  • Saying it is not for you is one click, and it improves what you see next
  • Introductions are made deliberately, with both parties named

Access is by invitation.

There is no public sign-up, because every account is attached to a real organisation we have spoken to. Tell us who you are and someone will come back to you, usually within three working days.
